One of my favorite places to troll of the Internet is the Oddly Enough section of Reuters. Normally I post links to a couple of stories, but today the good folks over at Reuters have totally outdone themselves! I have never seen a collection of stories this awesome and random. Spray On Clothes! And UFOs are Trying to Kill Us.
So I have told you this before, but one of my favorite places to troll on the internet is the Oddly Enough section of Reuters.
The other day on my lunch I was reading along on my phone and I came across this one, which I think is a real winner: Spray-on clothes unveiled on chemistry lab catwalk.
Yeah, that's right, spay on clothes.
Think about how much this is going to feed my fetish for packing light for trips!
And if foward leaps of fashion aren't something that interest you, then there is always this article about how UFOs have been messing with our nuclear weaposn and no one wants to talk about it.

Sexy Manatees and Other Headlines.
It is heartening to know that I’m not the only one having a spell of weird lately, it would seem as though the entire world is a little off kilter.
Exhibit A: Workers at the World Trade Center site found that down below the old building foundations there was . . . drum roll please . . . a boat. An 18th century ship, to be exact.
That’s strange right?

Oddly Enough.
One of my favorite places on the internet is the Oddly Enough section of the Reuters website. For months they were the only ones covering that mysterious story of a Chinese man who ran into a wall so hard that he killed himself. Then there was the story about Japanese smokers who got so stressed out about all the government-mandated smoking labels on cigarettes that they ended up smoking more. Why are these things not reported on elsewhere?
Here is a new one that only Oddly Enough seems to be concerned about:
About 16,000 words have succumbed to pressures of the Internet age and lost their hyphens in a new edition of the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary.
That’s right! From now on this:
That cry-baby bumble-bee is on my water-bed! What a low-life!
Looks like this:
That crybaby bumblebee is on my water bed! What a lowlife!
So chew on that for a little while.
Or maybe you would rather read about a cat with prosthetic legs. It is up to you.

Fight Global Warming With Prayer!

ZURICH (Reuters) - After centuries of praying for a local glacier to stop growing, Swiss villagers are now seeking an audience with Pope Benedict to get his blessing for prayers against the global warming that is causing it to recede.
In 1678, the inhabitants of the Alpine villages of Fieschertal and Fiesch made a formal vow to live virtuously and to pray against the growth of the Aletsch glacier, Europe's longest, which had caused a lake to flood into their homes.
To reinforce their prayers, they started holding an annual procession in 1862, when the glacier reached its longest during the mini-Ice Age Europe suffered in the mid-19th century.
But the villages now want to seek permission from Pope Benedict to change their vow as the glacier is melting fast due to climate change and have requested an audience with him.
"The residents of Fiesch and Fischertal hope that this will happen in September or October and are optimistic that the Holy Father will decide in their favor as he has repeatedly spoken out about climate change," they said in a statement.
Switzerland's glaciers shrank by 12 percent over the past decade, melting at their fastest rate due to rising temperatures and lighter snowfalls, a recent study showed.
Glaciers are a key source of water for hydro-electric plants in Switzerland as well as an important tourist attraction.
Researchers are predicting that the temperatures in the Swiss Alps will rise by 1.8 degrees Celsius in winter and by 2.7 degrees Celsius in the summer by 2050.
