I went to the local contemporary art museum today and they had an instillation all about agribusiness and I was all like, “Is it my birthday?! Did they do all this just for me?!” #nofilter

In some alternate dimension somewhere, 4th grade me is freaking out because in this dimension I’m about to step inside the only thing The Weekly Reader ever wrote about.

Please enjoy this f’ing Picasso. We have hung it next to the elevator, you know, like a sock on a shower rod.

I went to the local art museum today. This is wood carved in the 16th century in what is now Germany, artist unknown. It’s from the school of Tilman Riemenschneider who was apparently thrown in jail because he refused to kill poor people during the “German Peasants’ War” of 1524 and I dig that about him.

Is “desert runner’s tan” a thing? Because I have got some desert runner’s tan going on.

I went out this morning with my little runner’s hydration vest and my tank top and my sun screen and everybody on the trail was all like, “Well he must be a good and fancy runner” but then they saw me actually running and they all said, “Oh, wait, never mind.”

“Why’s that giant kid putting on a blindfold? What’s that bat for? Why did I even get invited to this party??”

Kink, but just the regular kind.

Hello and welcome to Standard Kink. This is a blog. So already you know I’m that kind of person. Herein you will find a lot of random miscellanea. I’m a writer still struggling to find his audience, so sometimes you’ll find my real writing here, short fiction and whatnot. But you will also find my bitter rants, my hopes, my dreams, and all the things I scream at the TV. I love the world, I really do, but it constantly challenges me to keep on loving it. They say that life is beautiful, but complicated. I agree.
