Cat Scratch

I have a mystery scratch on my head.
Probably a nefarious cat scratched me in bed.
While I slept there,
trusting and unaware,
one of ‘em clawed me
considering it a penalty
for some feline slight.
But surely anything might
have caused this behavior
so tonight I sleep in a cat-proof shelter!
