It is little known, but still true that at the height of his Fame Elton John personally funded a project to seed the clouds over Oklahoma with cocaine.

It was believed by some that this would produce liquid cocaine rain, however that theory was disproved by the complete failure of the project.

It is regarded as the most expensive privately-funded cloud seeding project ever undertaken.
