standardkink: I went to the local art museum today. This is wood carved in the 16th century in what is now Germany, artist unknown. It’s from the school of Tilman Riemenschneider who was apparently thrown in jail because he refused to kill poor people during the “German Peasants’ War” of 1524 and I dig that about him.
